Today is the first day of school around here. But not for me.
For the first time since 1993, I’m not standing in a classroom this morning. Instead I’m in my office, practicing law.
It’s a strange sensation, not being there. But I like being here, too. So I’m content with my uncharacteristically bold move; I’m fairly risk averse, so changing careers in middle-age isn’t what the odds makers in Vegas had on the board for me.
I know all my friends and family out there are behind me 100% with their moral support. I can’t tell you how much that means to me.
But, seriously, if you really want to support me, get out there and find some deep-pocket defendant we can sue. If just a few of you will do that, then I can make an even better transition this time next year. To retirement.
