I didn’t see it (as if), but I read a report that Sally Field, during her acceptance speech at the Emmy Awards, said something to the effect of “If Mothers ruled the world there would be no goddam wars in the first place”.

Hmmmm…..

A few thoughts:

First, I think it’s nice they’re finally getting around to recognizing Sally’s work on “The Flying Nun”. It had to have been tougher than it looked to act while flying.

Second, Sally has clearly never met my mom. If my Mom ran things, not only would we have wars, we’d have more wars. The main difference would be that with Mom running the show, we’d win.

Quickly.

Believe that.

Finally, Sally, honey . . . don’t work blue, ‘kay? You’re better than that. You kiss your mother with that potty mouth?
