Truth, wit, relevance (or at least 2 out of 3 on any given day)
I've been a public school teacher since 1993.
I'm not a big fan of public education per se. Primarily because I know that if we were starting from scratch, we'd never purposely design a system that resembles what we have today.
More than anything, I hate the scourge of prevalent standardized testing that has overtaken education in this country. And don't even get me started on the NCLB Act.
